Having completed a run of rapturously received and emotionally charged stadium and arena shows across Ireland last weekend, Kingfishr now announce details of even bigger things to come in 2027. The trio will top the bill at Belfast’s Belsonic festival, before playing gargantuan outdoor headline gigs in Dublin and Limerick. The three shows will see Kingfishr play to a combined audience of 90,000+ people.
While their streaming growth has accelerated exponentially, much of their reputation has been forged through the electrifying energy, community spirit and passion of their live shows. Hot Press’s review of their recent St. Anne’s Park show captured the atmosphere, stating: “Attendees in their thousands link arms, jive and sing along to the anthem, indifferent to the bucketing rain, which for me, eclipse any statistic in terms of a gauge in resonance.”
Frontman Eddie Keogh says, “Before we started the band, we had been to many of the venues we played last week to see our favourite artists play: Mumford & Sons, Paolo Nutini, The Killers being the ones that spring to mind. Being on those stages was nothing short of an out of body experience. The support we felt every night was some we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We want to do it again, but bigger. So that’s what we’re doing.”
